Mr. Grant graduated from Hamline University Law School in St. Paul , Minnesota in 1992. Mr. Grant received his Bachelor of Science, with a Political Science Major from the University of Utah in 1985. Mr. Grant is a member of the Weld County, Colorado, and American Bar Associations. He served as Weld County Bar President from 2001-2002.

In 2005, Mr. Grant became Managing Partner of the Grant-Dickson Law Firm, LLC.

Prior to that, Mr. Grant joined Chuck and Janet Dickson in 1999, to form the law firm of Dickson, Dickson, & Grant, LLC. Mr. Grant also served as Greeley's Assistant City Attorney and Lead Prosecutor from 1994-1999. Mr. Grant was also employed for 2 years with a private law firm in Denver , Colorado .

Mr. Grant has extensive experience in the areas of business and real estate litigation, employment disputes and litigation, contract interpretation and disputes, criminal defense, family law matters, and municipal law. While serving as Greeley Assistant City Attorney, Mr. Grant handled litigation in a wide variety of civil matters. In addition, Mr. Grant provided legal opinions to a variety of government entities including: Greeley Police Department, Historic Preservation Commission, Poudre River Trail Corridor Board, Liquor Board, Greeley Fire and Rescue, Greeley Planning Department, and the Cultural Affairs board. As the designated local government official, Mr. Grant also drafted new procedural rules for the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.

Mr. Grant's primary areas of practice are: business, family, real estate, agricultural, personal injury, criminal defense, and employment law. Mr. Grant also serves as a Municipal Court Judge for a northern Colorado township.
